The Moana Surfrider invites you to experience a taste of the islands with a quarterly interactive culinary adventure.
This month's class will feature flavors of the south with step-by-step instructions, recipes and tips on how to make the classic Chicken and Andouille Sausage Gumbo, featuring local, specialty sausages by the Kukui Sausage Company. Always a big hit with the crowd, gumbo is a great party dish that can be made ahead of time.
Following the demonstration will be a multi-course lunch served in the oceanfront Grand Salon to enjoy the just-made gumbo, with local style dirty rice, a summer salad and mixed berry trifle. Mixologist Dave Powers will pair refreshing beers.
Guests will come away as Masters in their own right, ready to wow family and friends at home.
