Nas Live In Hawaii
 |
|
SkyHI and Kurious Productions present for the first time in Hawaii Nas, the undisputed king of east coast hip hop with special guest DJ Green Lantern.
One of the more distinctive rap artists to emerge in the '90s, Nas put an emphasis on gritty, poetic storytelling. Beginning with his classic debut, Illmatic, Nas stood tall for years as one of New York City's leading rap voices, outspokenly expressing a righteous, self-empowered presence that has endeared him to critics and hip-hop purists.
Nas knows about hard-hitting street savvy anthems. This lyrical maestro has been responsible for singles (i.e. "The World Is Yours," "One Mic," "Ether" and "Made You Look") that have served as definitive hip-hop moments, instantly making their mark on radio, in the clubs, and among the fans who have looked to Nas to continuously push rap music to new heights.
Accompanying Nas is mix tape king, DJ Green Lantern, aka the Evil Genius. He rose to fame practically overnight when he aligned himself with Eminem, who wanted to get his Shady Records label into the mix tape game. He later was signed by Em to become the official DJ for Shady Records.
This concert will also feature local heavyweights Tassho Pearce & Creed Chameleon performing with the Spacifics and Tempo Valley. Kavet the Catalyst will be hosting this epic night and artists from the Ground Up pirates will be painting a tribute piece during the show. Hawaii, you DO NOT want to miss this show. Come out and witness the greatest lyricist alive- a true living legend…
Get yours before they sell out. Limited VIP tickets available which includes entrance to official post party Saturday March 20 @ Paparazzi in the Ward center. This is a 21+ event.
