2018 Spring HIFF Showcase

The 21st HIFF Spring Showcase film lineup is online! 30 films from 11 countries will be presented from April 6-15 at the Regal Dole Cannery Stadium 18. 9 of these films come straight from the recently concluded Sundance Film Festival with several others coming from prestige festivals such as Cannes, Toronto, Telluride, Venice and Busan! From espionage, thrillers, comedies, foodie films, animation, and award winning documentaries, this year’s HIFF Spring Showcase has something for everyone!

A Spring Concert

Location: Mystical Rose Oratory

Hear the 32 voices of Hawaii Vocal Arts Ensemble sing beautiful music of Brahms, Britten, Grainger, Paul Mealor, Eric Whitacre, Gwyneth Walker, Ola Gjeilo, Queen Lili’uokalani, and Freddy Mercury. One performance only, in the stunning acoustical setting of Mystical Rose Oratory at Chaminade University. Plenty of free parking.

PAIRINGS: A Taste of Sake Edition

Location: Moana Surfrider, A Westin Resort & Spa

Set oceanfront at the beachhouse at the moana, each PAIRINGS dinner is an unforgettable journey featuring a celebrity winemaker, brewmaster or master distiller presenting their craft along with perfectly paired complementary dishes prepared by the Moana Surfrider Chefs.

Thursday, April 12 will feature five incredible sakes, presented by Chris Pearce, founder and CEO of World Sake and Joy of Sake. Chef de Cuisine David Lukela will create delectable dishes that perfectly pair with the variety of sakes served.

$120 per person, includes five sake tastings and five paired dishes. Also includes validated valet parking. Tax and gratuity not included. Guests 21 years and older welcome.
